I know I am a newbie to this site but I have done my share of lurking.

I am finding it very difficult to follow posts, especially in the support sections when posters use absolutely no punctuation.

Most of you are of the millenial generation, and it is a common thing to not use periods in text messages and what not, but seriously I can't help those in need of technical advice if I can't understand the 100 word single sentence.

Yes, I am a douchbag but I am trying to be helpful.

That is all. Thank you.

OMFG what are those little dots next to his words they look like text dandruff
I sure hope I don't catch it hehehe

On a side note, it looks like you posted it at 1:24am, and edited it a few hours later. Dear god tell me it was for punctuation... lol

Obviously it should be readable , but dont forget its a message board not an english class .It doesnt have to be in proper form to understand. This is anunspoken rule on pretty much every open forum /message board on the internet.;)

Well his thoughts are well warranted... It is hard to follow when there is no punctuation. This is a forum not an english clas true, but what does it hurt to use a few more key strokes so people can understand what you are saying. My brain gets winded by a sentence that runs on and on, so I hear where you are coming from.

WHOOP WHOOP[ WHOOP watchout everyone its the grammer police!!!! i dont think its very hard to read the words without punctuation. its still the same words in the same language not like it gets all crazy like sdfsdfsdfsdfsdfsdfsdf if you dont use a period or comma....... and i agree you are a douchbag, lol j/k I:I

i couldnt believe that i could actually understand what i was reading. the phenominal power if the human mind, according to a research at cambridge university, it doesnt matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place. the rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without a problem. this is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole. amazing huh?
thats for the ppl that cant read it I:I

I read that just as fast as if it was spelled correctly.Great point.I do understand his point but in reality the peeps who spell that way will continue to spell that way.IMO

I agree with the OP. Sometimes it's difficult to take someone seriously when they struggle to spell or use punctuation. There's nothing wrong with shortcuts, but wow...some people seem like they never finished 4th grade. No big deal really...to each their own.

if your haveing a hard time reading posts with out puctuation you would never be able to understand anything ive written i dont use periods or anything like that an sometimes i switch from cursive to script in the middle of a word with caps in the middle lol im an english teachers worst nightmare i dont write propper ever good thing im not in school

I figured that this post would bring a lot of bashing. There are only 2 reasons why people don't write correctly. They aren't able to or they are simply lazy. My money is on the second one.

It is frustrating though.

yeah i have actually helped a person on here that was dislexic,so its not their fault, this is a dumb ass thread and should be closed, imo. who cares help them the best you can, no one is perfect.

very good mr 305. but you all missed the point. so we can understand some mixed keystrokes. take note: all letters were present, first and last were correct, and... THERE WAS PUNCTUATION!

I agree, my eyes and mind start scanning about 100 mph after about 100 words with no punctuation. you need something to stall and help separate ideas. i can't tell you how many times a few commas or periods would have saved me several minutes of reading and re-reading to try and understand what someone was saying. as was said, it doesn't have to be perfect, but a little goes a long way sometimes.

so please, stop thinking of only yourself. think of others for a change, and save us the time and anguish. hit the extra 2 keys.

305, i just noticed your quote at the bottom of ur sig. i've heard that before and agree 100%. and obese America can blame their forks.

i wish people would do the right thing and take responsibility for their own actions. bunch of frickin shammers.

me and my unit just got back from the range. we each shot approximately 250 rounds of 5.56 and 200 9mm. good training, and we're all going to need it some day.
God, i love being an American. But help us. we are losing our freedoms daily in the name of false safety, lazyness, and "political correctness."
