Hey all, so as you know I bought my old Blaster back a while ago. I'm just recently getting into fixing it back up to ride.

Here is my intro thread with a little more of a back story: http://www.blasterforum.com/introductions-8/bought-my-old-blaster-back-47582/

I've decided to do the build in two major stages. Stage one will be a small teardown to see what kind of shape it's in, tuning it up and getting it rideable for this season. Stage two will involve all the paintwork and other ideas rattling around in my head.

As you can see I've already begun:D

So far aside from taking it apart I put a spark arrestor back on it, bought a heat sheild for the exhaust and put in a new plug. I want to be riding it in a couple weeks so here's hoping there's nothing majorly wrong hidden from the P.O.

I would like to try and find a nice, affordable front bumper for it too; to replace the stock one that's all bent up.

I'd suggest trying to get some of that rust out of that pipe if you plan on running it.

And on a side note, did you get that stand at Harbor Freight? I've been looking at one just like it, But i'm not sure if the quality is good enough.

I took a wire brush to the thing before I put the spark arrestor on. Got it cleaned up inside and on the mounting face. Eventually I'm looking at getting a new pipe. I may just hit this one with some 1500* paint for the time being.

The lift is either from Canadian Tire or Princess auto, I don't remember. I'd imagine the Harbor Freight one would be similar quality, and this one has held up quite well over the years.

That's what i did with my pipe since i don't have the cash right now for an FMF.

And Alright thanks Man.

should be a nice start for ya. if you guys are looking for a cheap pipe. i got a fmf gold series fatty for $70 free shipping, polished finish no dents. if either of you want it.

Sounds like a sweet deal for somebody. But I'd be willing to bet shipping that thing to me where I am would end up costing you more than you're selling the pipe for.

I'll pass for now. Right now I just want to get the ting rideable for this season. Thanks anyways.

Small update for you crew, my quad and I are currently in different cities but that hasn't stopped me from shopping.

I ordered this decal kit up which I'm super pumped about!

And I'm also getting new brake cables, looking at doing the unlinked rear brake conversion to it as well.

I hope you know you will have to cut some of those stickers to fit... Unless they had blaster option and that was the only picture.

Welcome back!

That's was the only picture they had to show that design. I got one that's specific to my 94 I:I

*edit* Mine's supposed to have stuff for the older nose-cone, but the coverage looks good.

I'm going with black bodywork, engine, springs & rims, then the frame will stay silver.
