hey guys,I'm a greenhorn to the site, just had a question about main jet size? I have 2- 2001 blasters and they both have stock bore, stock carbie, fmf fatty pipe and silencer,im in texas(not sure about elev.)k&n filters and no lid.was wandering what size main jet to use?? i think it has a 270 right now. Also what causes them to leak fuel from carb?(bad seat in bowl? carb kit?)i have to turn the petcock valve off between rides or it will have a big puddle of fuel under blaster..Thanks.

noone can tell you what size to use do a plug chop use the search function to read up on it theres about 1,000 threads on it for the fuel leaking out of the carb floats probley need adjusted and carbie is that a texas saying lol

Thanks for the heads up hudack,i will ck it out.and carbie! i have a friend from australia and thats what he calls it, and i always liked the way it sounds so it just stuck with me(haha).thanks.

That 270 should be in the right ballpark (stock is 230). Only reading your plug will tell you for sure.

Three possibilities. Stuck float, worn needle and seat, crap in it. IF your adjustment is significantly off, and this is a new prob, then consider a rebuild kit. Needle wear = misadjusted float.

Float adj is appx 21mm from gasket surface to top of float. The manual is helpful too.
