i bought a stock hood for a 03-06 blaster only difference from mine that it was carbon fiber look i mounted it up and the holes didnt fit i had to shove on it just to get one bolt started a real pain in the butt to mess with it is not fitting up to the light it wanted to fit over i got it all mounted up and there are big gaps where it dont fit and the throttle cable is in a bind and it dont wanna run i was just wondering if anyone has had this problem before my dads gonna look at it later but if we can get it to mounted up right im gonna sell it i know its not rocket science to mounted a hood up i do it all the time but why would a maier hood be so hard

i dont have a problem with the gaps where it dont fit right up to the gas tank cover that i dont care about i just hate how hard it is to get a screw started and the throttle cable sucks witht he hood on here are some pictures i dont know if you guys can tell anything from it but i remember taking my stock putting my stock on one time and it flexed real easy around the steering steem and wires this one was kinda hard

over all it looks really cool but when you take a bolt out you can see it flex back to how its suppost to be i think maier is awesome not trying to bash them in anyway just wondering if anyone else has had a problem

i really wanna keep it if i can get the throttle cable bind worked out im sure we can so no big deal like i said not trying to bash them in anyway just wondering if anyone had the same problem

thanks guys

heres a pic of where i think it is binding it dont really look like it but to get the old hood off you gotta take your key mount out just screw a nut off and pops off really easy then i put the key switch threw the new hood and got my key before even bolting the hood up and started it to make sure i got it in there with nothing happening and it started and ran just fine then after i bolted the hood up it sorta spit and wants to die but id you give it gas its just fine sounds weird but i wanted to check everything to make sure it was not me

if you drill the holes on the side toward the front a little you can push it back and get that gap to close.. my maier hood had to be drilled by me.. did you drill yours? just make the hole toword the front and push it back.. may have to use a washer to cover the bigger hole..
