ltr plastics on lt500r

i no i discussed this and im getting the lt500r on friday but im trying to mount ltr450 plastics on so im going to use the the gas tank of a ltr but the problem I just relized is that the ltr in fuel injected and the lt500r in carb how would I hook up this gas tank

yea im going toget pics of it beacuse I have to rip the whole thing apart to get extend a -arms powdercoated frame +2 swing arm and get the motor peaices in chrome or black

come on know one noes around here how diffrent a fuel injectd tank is over a carb tank or is there just a fuel line in both of them and or is the same?

i don't know for sure but i think most fuel injected quads have the fuel pump in the tank and just have lines running out the bottom where there is no cover, assuming there isn't a huge difference in the out side diamiter than you should be fine.

so you think it will be fairly easy to hook up if those lines are in simular daitimeter like use right outta the bottom of the tank where the hole is just get a carb hose and hook it up with clamps and everthing should be good right.

oh, sorry i miss read your post, i thought you were asking if the tank cover would fit. i think you will have a problem doing this because you would have to get that pump out of there because carderated engines are just gravity fed instead of using a pump to build pressure. you also have the problem of the return line that the fuel injected tanks have to have and if you get that stuff worked out you still need a petcock. how come you don't want to use the zillas tank?

beacuse when I put the plastics on arnt the zillas and the ltr plastics alot diffrent and I want this to look like a true ltr 450. like it came outta the showroom floor. im actally get coustom made graphics you no on the fenders how it says ltr450 thes are going to be exact and say ltr500

why not just showcase having a lt500? theres not very many 500r's around and lots of people have the 450s. i know if i had one, i'd want people to know it B)

true but the ltr is sick + im going to keep all the original stuff

defently keep the stock plastics. the ugliness is epicness when you have a 500cc 2 stroke.

yea i get what yyou say im keeping all the original parts so that 10 years from now I can sell if for big bucks
