What year model is it? I see 5 lug rear rims but I'm not sure what year models had those.

If it runs I might go about $500 looking like that. Throw that front fender in the garbage and order new front and rear fenders the same day.

quadracer lt250r.... 91 supposedly, but that's why I posted pix, I don't know what year it is, but some of the 250 guys may by looking at the pix...

I would order fullbore or maier plastics at the local shop asap if I did get it... I think the stock rear rims are 10" but some guys have 4x110 lug pattern tires on the quadracer site it sounds like. so I gotta see what 4x110 hubs fit as I have a set of stock 8" rears with half tread mxr6 18"s

I'm figuring maier plastic will run me like $500.. then another 150 for rear tires if I don't somehow change the pattern to 4x110... besides being a heap of sh!t anything else I should think about?

I saw fed mention in another thread:

cracks in frame by front shock mounts
cranks in swing arm
rattles in motor

anything else? lol... figure for super cheap I can't really go wrong. hell, I could probably custom make glass fenders if I really wanted weight would suck tho. I REALLY like the idea of a bike that's less than 300lbs as my 450 is over 400 lol. really be stoked if I could get it and it runs cherry...

How much you willing to go on it? I mean $650 is kinda steep for all the work it needs.

lol, yeah, I dunno. if I had another one or a line on another one for parts maybe it would be worth it. if it runs like a champ and rides well then basically I'm buying a runner in need of major cosmetic rebuild lol.

I don't mind the looks as I'm not planning to baby it at all. I'm gonna try to fix anything that's broken from a ride-ability aspect then just ramble it. I don't need to have it as a show bike. look decent enough to not be embarassed to have it in my truck or riding it would be enough for me lol. but since I probably can't even ship in plastics for a decent price I'd be looking at new maier stuff from the local shop at like $500 for the full set. then seat cover and it will look not too bad, polish the rims, put some rear tires on it...

if I can sell some of the millions of parts I have and the kids old LT80 to get it and a front fender set I will be happy lol. looking at getting a black maier front plastic and a white carbon or black carbon hood and black rear fender possibly as well. but I still need to pay for my race tech front shocks that're at DeRisi racing for my LTR450 lol, so I mean, this is all just speculation at this point...

I like the maier plastics and this hood, I would probably use the hood cap on mine tho lol

I'd probably put a DG bumper on it since they're cheap on ebay... or find donor plastics LOL

so with that in mind, IF I sell my tires tomorrow, (which unless my wife goes into active labor I will be working instead) as well as my sons LT80 and all the spare 660 crap I have laying around. it's probably not gonna happen and I'm just window shopping lol. always nice to know more tho. and now after searching I already know how to tell if the top end is an 87+ now to ride it and see if it has 6 gears LOL, if I sell my sons bike and pick up the LTR I will not really have money to put into it for a while til I sell more crap. I have money, but the wife won't let me out of pocket a full cosmetic rebuild lol. I really want to ride one of these tho and see what I think I'm sure the weight will make it a fun ride lol. that coupled with decent power = good times I need a trail rig now that I sold my raptor a while back and am putting my LTR450 for strictly MX lol. I want this thing to be able to do all the minor jumps tho like 20' tables ect. so I may have to get some +2+1 arms and make my stock 450 shocks fit I saw one member said he did that on e2s forums

i want to say 87, because that intake reed looks big.
but it is not 85-86 or 91+.

they were saying 92 motor in 87 frame... I was figuring if it was 87+ motor and frame it was the best stuff?

I figured if all it needs is plastics a seat cover and rear tires not too big a deal. the trx250r I picked up for $500 needed a full motor rebuild tho it had plastics it also needed front tires and rims lol so.. this looked like a better deal since it's actually self propelled LOL.. I kinda think it's the same one I found last year.

I really want to get an under 300lbs 2 smoker and if it has the PV motor with the decent front shocks it could be an ok rambler...

I think *she* got it with no front fenders and got the 400 fenders stupid cheap.

some guys fix the 400ex fenders on the LT250s nicely, don't ask me how, but if I get the bike and can find 400ex fenders I will try to do the same LOL

if I can find some building material for stupid cheap, they actually would trade for some lol.

It doesn't matter how many times I drive in circles around the island to make a 20hr one way trip, I can't just drive to pick up sh*t like u guys in the continental us... I don't have a problem putting any different plastics on if it will actually look like a quad lol. so long it fits nice I could put pink polaris plastics on it for all I care, specially if it's FAHREEEEE lol, not that I'll find pink polaris plastics or I will get any plastics for free..

I did find a guy with a set for $90+ ship of oem plastics kinda beat up but will definitely cost more to ship here than he wants for the plastics lol
