Just put new rings in my blaster and then did a compression test, its only reading 60 psi why so low??

ask yourself why you put in rings??
what is the issue not starting??
if your lucky comp gauge is lying
ooorrrrr you need more then RINGS like bore/hone/piston rings/measured correctly by a professional.

Put new rings to freshen up the top end after port work, has all new gaskets, and runs good

What brand compression tester? I used a harbor freight compression tester and got 70 so I rebuilt the top end with all new piston and rings gaskets tightened everything nice broke it in and only got 85. So I know the tester was inaccurate

My uncle has a ct racing 240 blaster and we ran a compression test on it and only said 90 psi and it is harbor freight one but still wonder!

If you raised the ex you will get a lower reading, less time/area to compress.
Comparing it to the CT is apples & oranges. It probably has a higher compression head.

After normal break-in, what you get is what you got !!

Hope you champhered the ports well !!

No didn't raise the ex port, but the compression for the ct should read 150- 180 psi and is only like I said 90 psi?

If I had a dollar for every time I've read about junk HF gauges, I could buy a new Craftsman !!
Get a "REAL" gauge and test again. Both yours and the CT , report back.
