losing power when put in gear.

One thing I just realized, I pulled the plug to check it and the guys at the Honda dealers gave me a ngk b8es I think instead of a b7. Would that make the diff? And it was a wet black. Which I haven't been able to get into really to open it up just slight revs at idle. If any of that helps at the moment

sound good
also sounds like you need to split the motor to see what is wrong?
I completely rebuilt it. After I got it all together and it did this I tore it apart for a 2nd time to double check my work to make sure I put everything back the right way. And it was. Nothing missing no corners cut. Except I reused the washers that you bend to hold the nut.

it does take the B8ES IT IS CORRECT
Does the clutch arm where it attaches to cable hitting your carburater ? they are really close calls there?

No but like you said it is close, but doesn't hit. The clutch engages and disengages fine. It's just went I let off it bogs out. I'm working on tuning it to see if it's just not running like it's supposed to. Seems like around 1/2 throttle to wot is rough. Idle to 1/2 sounds fine.....that's on the middle on the needle and settings at factory.

We sure have a problem child here.

The symptoms you describe are common place when an air leak is present, fuel starvation.

Could there be a blockage in the header pipe.

Is the brass washer under the main jet?

What size main is in there and what pipe?

Posting a vid with good sound may help to hear wether it is a condition of lean bog or rich burble, the 2 often get confused.

Hard to type sound but a lean bog is Blaaaah, a rich burble is Bb Bb Br Br.

I need to record some sounds!

When I air tested it I left the reeds in. That wouldn't cause a problem would it? As there is room for the air to escape when released right? There could possibly be a blockage in the header as I got this bike used, there was a little bit of junk inside the header but I got the majority of it out. I don't think there's a blockage in there really but I'll take it off and double check myself in the morn. Not sure on jet size I'm going to assume and say stock? How do you tell as there is no print or anything on it. And the pipe and header are stock I'll check on the washer and report back tomorrow with a video to post to give you more of an Idea. But I'm leaning towards a tuning problem as you stated above. Now it's a matter of tracking it down. I greatly appreciate everyone's help here

We will keep attacking this problem until we have it by the short and curlies!

Is this the way you tested for leaks?

The big white thing is a slosh baffle to help stop fuel from climbing away from the main on corners.

It helps stabilise a pool of fuel around the main to stop it drawing air!

If you ride flat track it is not needed.

Ride a berm or rough terrain, then it should be fitted.

On acceleration the fuel will tend to climb the back of the rounded float bowl, the ring will create a baffle to help keep fuel around the main jet.

It was designed to be in there, why try to rewrite history, leave it there.

So I have a couple extra cylinders and heads that came with this bundle and I pulled the reeds off the motor I'm using and a spare. The ones I was using are regular stock reeds I'm going to assume and the reeds on the spare cage I had are 2 stage? Sound right? I'm going to again assume that the 2 stage are better and I should install them?
