Depending on the area insurance companies change. I know where i am,my parents have a car each, so if i got one and put there name on it i would not be able to be a secondary driver, cause clearly i would drive it. This can change though. Even if this is the policies over there, i think that there is a loophole. I believe that because it is a classic car it can be considered your dads and allowing you to be a secondary driver. Yet another however, is there can be policies that it isn't insured in the winter season or that no one under the age of 25 can dive it. To make a long story short, you can't be sure, and its his thing so leave him alone. Dont rag on him
