Looking for best deal on parts

Just bought a 400ex that needs a new top end, anybody tell me where the cheapest kit is? found a 440 kit on ebay for 358 and that's the cheapest I've found, if anybody can find another cheaper I'd really appreciate it, Also just a stock bore would do it, I need a jug, piston, rings, and gaskets.

i gotta replace my top end......im gettin the 416 bbk...its 162$ for the kit and then watever it cost to bore the cylinder.......what compression ratio are you gonna use....you gonna get a bigger cam? if so wat stage are you gonna get

Might get a stage 2 cam, depending on how much I spend on the rest, probably 11:1 piston.

that my exact setup im going with....11:1 stage 2 with 416 kit....and my full pipe will compliment it nice...

416 is that really a bbk....seems like it just a bore the cylinder out a lot kit

eh i know a guy who used to race the 400ex and he said the biggest bore he would ever go would be 426 cause half way threw the race his 440 kit would over heat and then the machine would run like sh*t

I heard that too, Actually from the guy that sold this to me, just gotta find a stock setup.

yes for races the the 440 kit over heats..some people who go on LONG trail rides like hatfield mcCoy had to stop and cool down.....most racers only got to 426 just like samolia said......and yes YB thats a BBK for 400exs but the 440 kits come with a new cylinder and pistion and gaskets...but there like 300$..but the 416 is perfect for trail riding and harescrambles...it doesnt get as hot and its still just as reliable and bullet proof as a stock bore...i cant wait to get mine..its gonna rip
