lonestar axle peoblems

so i bought this lonestar axle from a guy parting out a bike. It was an older one. mine is a 2003. I don't think it will fit right? i havn't tryed yet but it seems like like most people say it won't. If any one knows the answer let me know.

If it doesn't fit what could i do to make it fit. what about just using an older carrier. will the hydro brake still ffit.

it should fit fine, i think people are having trouble with the banshee axle fitting right

cus i got on line and did some searching and they do sell the lone star for like 88-02 the 03-present. so i was wrried.

if it doesn't fit willl an older carrier fit.

The older one will not fit the 03 model. The 03 and up use the banshee axle.

03-06 blasters dont come with a wider rear end. they come with the stock axle. They don't come with banshee axles.

yeah i have a lonestar axle but i didn't know it wouldn't fit all years, it only fits the older models. So i was just wondering if i could use a banshee carrier with the lonestar axle.

ill buy the axle so you can just buy a new one. the 88-02 carrier wont take the hydro break. just buy the right axle. what + size is it?

no idea but im thinkin ID or the part on the axle that is raised. it looks like a bearing on the axle but its part of it that sits inside the one side of the carier.

ok well how about this. i have a few old carriers and the newer one. if i can't get anything to work. with either of them i will give you a price for it. i just a axle but i still want my hydro rear brake. Mabe i can fab up the caliper or something to get it to fit the old carrier, i'm sure i could redrill the holes or make another plate to fit, or someshit. but i will let you know what happins by the weekend. Would that be ok?

sure man id just like to buy an axle. you could fab a plate for the hydro setup but i hope you can weld n sh*t.

yeah i got a welder and stuff. i am hoping i can just get it to fit. the axle doesn't really look to different from the stock one, but i don't know. my project baster is turning into a little bit more of a hassle then it should. but i will definetly sell it to you if i can't get it to work

a banshee carrier an a 03 an newer blaster carriers are the same the older blaster carriers are narrower and will not work with hydro brakes

Alright, so i got to messing around with my axle, and i think i got it. I used the older year lonestar axle, an 03 carrier, with the 03 sproket hub, and the older year brake hub, and every thing matched up pretty good. All i might have to do is make a little spacer in between where my stock brake mounts to my carrier. sorry 89custom but i think i will hold on to the axle for now.

To in conclusion you can use older year axles with newer year carriers.
