So last night I cleaned and tightened the battery connections, due to my lights slightly pulsing at idle, ( same battery that was in the explorer)

Went to work to test battery and alt lastnight and lofl wtf!!!

Tested asked if the vattery was 6 volt, and said battery was junk, so went to test alt and it. Said cannly test 12 and 24v systems.. I'm like wtf?? So I grabbed the multi tester, 14.25 volts at idle, and 13.1 with the car off!!

My only idea is that the negitive terminal is nasty and the tester couldn't make a good connection, ether was I thought it was funny, car always starts and charges,

there cleaned good, just the negitive terminal is naster, nice good con nect but the outside is nasty, im gonna change it out for anew one and it should be fine

why not just buy a new connecter and throw it on for 1/4 of the price

if you pour regular coke on the battery connections, it chemical cleans them, it bubbles and will clean every bit of corosion(sp) of, but make sure its reg. coke, not diet

you may already no this trick, just throwing it out there
