The power valve can be pinned as it serves little function i hear in these motors.
I have rode one the power valve does little if anything sorry dude. Also a article on Macdizzy about its little function.
Didn't you just contradict yourself? You heard, then you rode one? hmmm.. Not mad, just wanna see where you read this on macdizzy's sight you've sparked my interest.
Also you do know that the 3ET engine in the WR200 and DT200WR and also DT200R sold 1989- many years in greece, iran, south america(post 99), and australlia in 1991/1992(us version WR200(also the models sold after 89 in canada) the powervalve is practically useless, it restricts the engine and a common mod in the UK is deristricting, by going back to the 37F electronic powervalve set-up.
The WR200 sold in the states in 91-92 was case reed induction, while the 84-88 NEVER sold in the us had the reed induction on the back of the cylinder.
The Powervalve set-up on this motor is identical to the RZ350 set-up... Ask any banshee owner whose done the swap, it's a fun ride. No cheetah motor, but runs fairly decent as I had one w/ Passion port and some mods, but the technology of today is making banshee motors even better..
I'm an MX rider, I like to keep my bottom end and midrange, so that's why I picked this motor. Roommate brought his bike from costa rica with him when he moved in with me and I've been working on the swap ever since.
I think I know the article your reading
