Lights and stator

Hey guys, I am starting night desert racing so I need some good lights and a stator. I already have an idea on what lights I am going with going with LEDs as main lights and some little halogens for back lighting but the stator can't push it so what stator would you guys recommend ?

30 + 10 + 10 = 50.

Stock stator coil is happy to produce 55watts all night.

How many LEDs in the bank, thats on heck of a current draw.

careful with the LED's, they sure seem bright up close, but alot of them lack reflectors (those strips) and do not throw the light far enuf for "at speed" night riding.
a bright bulb is just that..a bright bulb, the reflector is what throws the beam out where you need it.

IMO...it's pretty hard to beat the flood/spot combo of the trail tech lights........
ATV Lights at Trail Tech Home

you'll notice that trail tech now offers both halogen (what i have) and LED lights, the LED's are not the bulb type, they are the chip type, and use a reflector to project the beam.
either are pricey, but what price do you put on your life at 60+ mph thru the dark desert ???

you'll need to swap in this rick stator 75 watt coil to run the halogen trail techs, or anything else over 55 watts - 75 watts............

ricky stator also offers lights in 35, 55, 75 and 100 watts each...

for the ultimate in night lighting, do a dc conversion and battery from trail tech and run HID's = $$$

I ran hids on my raptor a couple years back when i had it. I started with a really expensive pair and after 3 races they were toast. I really liked how bright they were but they were such a pain to keep going. I might to the battery swap and run the 12 inch light bar they have. My friend has one on his banshee and boy are they bright.
