i keep seeing pics of the older style blastys without headlights and it looks 10x better than with it, but im going to be doing nightriding/snow so i do need some form of light..

ive seen a few ppl go out and buy headlights from walmart and such and get them to work. anyone have advice on this? im not about to mess around with my stator or get a battery so whatevers simple.

All you gotta do to add the lights from walmart is hook up the wires from the old light. Just make sure the lights you get for it are not too high of wattage. There is a DIY on this somewhere.

hmm but for whatever reason my headlight doesnt work right now... i should figure that out first then do the swap

Check the wires and make sure they are all hooked up right, could also be the voltage regulator, mine went and blew out my lights.

its possible, i have a brand new socket and bulb. and im sure they are all hooked up. i should get a new regulator and check that
