I just did a leak down test to try and figure out why my blaster was running so badly, and it failed miserably. I was losing about 6psi in less than three minutes. I had the flywheel off, and it was leaking a little out the crank seal, but also it was pressurizing the transmission. I know because I would put my thumb over the vent and then take it off and hear it puff.
I just replaced the clutch side crank seal last week. Am I correct in thinking that if it's still pressurizing the trans that it's either a cracked case or bad case gasket?
I'm about to pull the engine and split the case halves to check for that, unless y'all think I shouldn't yet?
