not trying to be a party pooper but that will be a long shot!!! and you will not end up with a very reliable trail machine ;)

GO 450!! Best of both worlds!

yea the party pooper
reliabilty.....is only as good as the guy that is tuning the machine properly

a properly tuned machine will run and last a long time

fix up the blaster!!!! Just to let you know to do a top end job (valves, piston, rings, cam and labor) on a 450 will run you about $1200. Top end on a big bore blaster, about $200. And as freek stated, a properly set-up and tuned big bore blaster will last a long time

But you wont have to rebuild it all the times you would have to rebuild a blaster. it will all sum up. And lets jsut face it and be realist, a blaster will not beat a 450, pipe/filter and jet a 450 and the moded blaster wont hold its own. Blasters are Blasters and 450's are 450's cant compare em.

Do what you would find best suited, its your money anyway

ehhh i say if you can get the 450 get it cause if you mod the blaster up to the max... to beat a stock or slightly moddified 450, your blaster is fully modified meaning you cannot do anything else to it with that 450 you still got big bore kits, cams exhaust porting, etc.

Well heres as much input as I can give.

Okay, if you like a lightweight, fun quad that you can toss around very easily and control well, it's a blaster. YFZ's are heavier and bulkier, not saying they're any worse of a quad. If you have a 450, be prepared to get thrown around slightly more then a Blaster would. Both quads are very modifiable. Blaster parts, however, are cheaper.

oh hell yeah ive seen that bioth own all sorts of quads!!! but you gots to remember they are Drag quads, when it comes to trails its wayy different.

All in all, just do w/e you feel more comfortable to do. I myself like to have the best of both worlds. I:I
