I had my crank cover off and I pushed the kick started and it let go and no longer had spring to it. It does not appear to be broken in anyway.

look up the DIY on how to install the kickstarter gear...... see if yours is lined up like the pics show in tht thread

make sure you have the spring in the hole on the case

is it supposed to have spring when its just on the case cover?

the spring connects to the kicker and the inner case

1 is where the round clip sits

2 is the kicker gear stop....(the flat metal part)

3 is where the spring sits in

I’ve got an issue. So I did an oil injection block off. And the kick starter wouldn’t recoil when I put it back together. So apart again last night. Now it recoiled and worked fine until I put the clutch cover on, now it is hard as hell to turn and it doesn’t recoil at all. Any ideas?
