kickstar trouble

The kick start doesn't pop back up after you kick it it works but is starting to annoy me. whats making it do that.

spring either broke or came out.. you gotta take the clutchcover off to fix it and if it broke then you possibly ground it up into little peices and thats not good for your bearings but the sooner you get cover off and check it the better. if its bent out of the hole it goes in you can try bending it back and fitting it back in but chances are if it is bent out you will want to get a new one. cheapcycleparts.com has them i think 8 dollors.

thanks it been like that since i got the quad i just delt with it which is easy because after the quad has started for the day one kick makes her run.

I'd get a new spring and gasket and repair it properly.I:I My son's Blastee was purchased with a totally trashed clutch, not knowing the end of spring was broke off, kicker never returned after new clutch. Recently replaced spring when I did pump block-off. Impossible to tell if that little piece caused damage or not as the P O had attempted to repair basket with duct tape , honest !! Never saw that piece when I took it apart either time, but I could see where that it could cause the carnage. 100% clutch plus crank gear. X(
