im not sure... but i think if u unscrew the hood u can disconnect the key very easily

Why would you want to remove the key?

a key on a kick start bike is a joke. if you think it will stop a theif from starting it come park near my camp and i'll show you. However i do like to make things a bit difficult for that ass clown that is strolling by the 200+ quads all lined up 1/4mile from the action at some event. I relocate the key and still use it as a anti theft part. the ignition is just a 2 wire setup when unplugged your quad will start just like it does with the key on. TRX 250R's came with keys but you rarely ever see any with them still on it. I moved my wifes under the right side of the hood, just rear up near the pipe under right fender and blam(just make sure you zip tie the key to something. works great and then you can put that billet banshee neck on~
