just how bad are the vitos big bore kit pistons?.. i see ppl saying there cast pistons suck all the time .. i got a blaster the other day with a big bore kit and i dont want to run it if the piston is going to fall apart on me, i have herd they only fall apart when they over heat them, cause ppl try and run a stock carb with them that true?.. i am running a pwk airstricker carb any good with the big bore kit?.. if any 1 nos where i can get maybe a wiseco or a forged piston for it lmk thanks ..

everything you need for around $120 on midwestactioncycle.com including a wiseco piston, wrist pin bearing, circlips, and wrist pin. with gaskets.
just make sure you get the kit with the wiseco stuff, or else you did no good.

cast pistons have the ability to shatter easily, forged pistons are about indestructible!

This is the one you want!, use to be they only had them up to 72.50mm, now they have them in 73.00mm!, that's sweet, both of my 240 cylinders are at 72.5mm now, I thought I'd have to resleave them if I fry one!?

i doubt that running a smalller carb would run your piston hotter....that's all in the jetting, not the carb size.
the pwk is prob a good carb for your 240 kit, the stock carb would just restrict it. as for porting, yes you should. a stock bore ported blaster would prob spank an unported 240.

idk if thats true i am just going by what i have read .. yea i have been talking to flowtek and i am going to send it off to him and let him do his thing, i just hope the lrd pipe is good for the big bore kit cause i am not buying another pipe lol..

It doesn't, I ran the stock carb on mine for a long time with 0 issues, jet it right and you'll have lots of low end!

i just pulled the cyli off the 240bbk cause i am sending it out tomarrow for porting, it looks like the case is trenched and it has a hot rods crank but it dont have the spacer plate is there any way i can tell if it has a stroker in it ?,cause i think the porting would be diffrent if it had a stroker in it right?...
and does that look like the vitos cast piston?..
