Just got a brand new 3GS iPhone today. Very nice going online after my pc crashed. I have a blackberry curve. It sucked. Didn't even have 3G.

i hate touchscreens lol does anyone know a good fone that has wifi(wireless) and a good camera (5mp+) ??i have 2 4gb n95's and one 8gb and there all broke the 8gb just needs a solder so i might try that sometime lol
Iphone is basically the greatest phone on earth... just make sure you buy urself an otterbox defender case for it.... look it up on youtube... there is a guy who throws it out a two story window to cement and it doesnt break the phone.... they are known to break screens rather easy...

Was just coming in to say to jailbreak your phone. Jailbreakme.com ( I think it's still up but haven't checked) is the easiest way ever to jailbreak. You just go to the site from your phone and slide the slider. Once you jailbreak you can get apps that you otherwise couldn't and configure your phone in ways you can't do without jailbreakeing. MyWi allows you to use your iPhone to let's say tether to your laptop so that you can use the Internet on your laptop even if it's not connected to the Internet( perhaps while in the car on a trip).

I'm ampittle unsure how safe it is. I don't want to read my info on my phone and get my passwords and stuff I don't know much about it.
The otter box defender series makes the Iphone way to big. I have a lower grade otter box that does the job nicely and only cost 20 shipped to my door. As for jailbreaking the Iphone, I have heard lots of them crash on a daily basis after having it done,
Mine doesn't crash on a daily basis... Some themes or programs will crash once loaded but all it takes is to delete them and then everything is back to normal. "crash" doesn't mean the phone bricks and needs to be restored or anything, it just puts the phone into safe mode( you have to option of not putting it in safe mode which is what I do) then delete the problem and you are good to go. Worth it to me... Your decision if it's right for you.
I haven't done it to mine, just read that they crash a lot after they are jailbroke, although I am looking into it soon possibly though
It allows you to do things to your phone that Apple currently doesn't allow you to do. It can be as simple as just changing the way your phone looks to plenty of other things. I stick to the simple stuff for the most part... Some things I currently have...

3G unrestrictor- confuses your phone into thinking you are connected to wifi even when you are on 3G. This allows you to watch full reolution YouTube videos on 3G(without it YouTube plays sh*tty ass reolution videos when you aren't on wifi. Also allows you to download apps larger than 10mb. Allows you to use video chat all the time with the new iPhone rather than just using it on wifi.

Infinidock( might have the name wrong) let's me have as many icons on the dock ( the 4 icons at the bottom where phone usually is) as I want. Right now I have like 7 or 8 icons on the dock and 4 on my front page.
Sbssettings- provides a drop down box with a quick swipe at the top of your screen that allows you to do a couple different things. Change your brightness, turn off 3G/wifi, easily reboot/restart/ shutoff your phone, etc. A lot easier and Faster than going through your settings menu and trying to find things.
