hi i am new to the forum and was wondering if someone could possibly give me some guidance on what could have happened to my bike. i bought it 2 days ago and it started up and rode great the first and second day, then my friend ended up wheeling it back to us on the 2nd day. he said he saw oil spewing from the exhaust and turned it off, but when i tried to kick start it it had no compression. the exhaust o-ring appears to be blown. but i am worried that the piston rings went because there is no compression.

yeah just take the top end off and take a peek. a blaster topend can be freshened up with new bore and piston for under $200
I did my last top end rebuild for less than $150 including machine work. Just tear it down and check it out. I'm putting my project motor together tomorrow with new Wiseco .060 over, all new seals in the bottom end and new top end gaskets. I will have about $350 in the bike when I am done tomorrow, rear hydro conversion included.
