Jetting question

Hello,

My Blaster is all stock, just put in a K and N air filter, with air box lid removed. The jet they told me to put in is a 270 into the stock carb. Now it runs really crappy. Poor idle, and bogs down when I take it for a boot. Won't even go above maybe 1/3 throttle, then just bogs. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanx for your help and have a great day,

Rob.

Thanx will try and move the needle to lean it out. Based on what I have been reading, a 270 jet sounds too big for my basically stock engine. Will try an 250 and see what it does. Any other ideas?

check your plug before you move it if it is white it is lean if it black it is rich, rich raise your clip on the needle to the blunt end, lean drop it, i have the same problem right now, i have the vitos high flow air filter, 1/2" spacer, and carbon reeds, i am only putting a 270 in it, you will want a 250 because it is a 230 stock.

Well I just put in a 250 jet into the carb and it seems to run great. Can't really open it up because everything is frozen but it seems to run good, good response and no bogging. The needle is on the second groove from the top.

Have a great day,

Rob.
