Hey i just installed a Riva Racing By FMF Silencer (only silencer) and K&N filter i asked my local shop what to jet to they said 240 does that sound right im keeping my lid on until i get a new expansion chamber then i will rejet with no lid does this sound right

#240 Main depending on your temp and elevation. Plug chop to be sure.

Exhaust should change nothing but thE K&N mignt need 1 bigger size in jet.

If you are going colder, bump it up.

But I repeat do, plug chops, its the only way to tell if you got it right.

Ok tomorrow when i put the filter and #240 on i will plug shop and take some pics and post them on this thread so stay tuned in for more of helping me HAHA i appreciate it

SAFETY is over rated...Im joking of course but in all honesty i only personally wear safety gear when i have to so i cant say anything imo it should be left up to the rider just like seat belts if you dont want to wear it its your vehicle you shouldnt have to.

As for jetting for the OP id say 250 to start with you can always go down and with winter approaching it may be pretty close.I would have never guessed that my gf's blaster would need a 300 main especially with the mods since its nothing extreme but a plug chop shows i could probably go down a size but im going to leave it a tad bit rich for safe measure on the engine.

Ok im gonna put the #240 in tomorrow and try that and also do a plug chop

how did you perform this test and chop?

was this a 6th gear WOT run and then shutoff? looks like it wasn't. should have a ring around the porcelain. not covering the end like that.

It was 5th gear i didnt have enough room and they people have said 5th gear WOT is fine

No hear is exactly what i did warmed it up with the old plug in drove it to the beginning of the alley stopped shut the bike off put a new plug in then ripped it strait down the alley then in 5th gear WOT i pulled the clutch in and started braking shut the bike off when i came to a stop i removed the new plug and put it in my pocket then put the old plug back in and went back to my garage.

well, it sounds like you did it right then. maybe just going through 5th is what is making it cover the tip like that. the color doesn't look too bad.
