Jetting on a stock blaster help!!!

Hi i have a stock blaster i recently bought a k&n pod filter (the type that uses no airbox..) and boysen power reeds..
I rejetted it from a 230 main to a 250 then to a 260 cuz that wasnt enough.
i stepped up the pilot from a 32.5 to a 35.
the bike used to bog if u nailed it all the way quickly or if u shifted too early.. which sucks...
once i changed the filter and the reeds the bog disapeared..
but it still runs lean... i took the k&n off and put my stock airbox back on because a buddy told me it was best to keep the airbox on..plus i got tired of not being able to ride cuz of the jetting...
i left the 260 in and the bigger pilot in and its still running lean....
the plugs almost clean after taking a 10 min ride...beside half of the plug having a lil black...
i run yamalube 32:1.....
ngk iridium plug...
im stumped... any suggestions?
 
Dude it sounds like you have an air leak soewhere in the air side of your motor. Check all the gaskets by having it running and spray carb cleaner all arounf the reed cage gaskets and on the jug gaskets and see if the idle goes up, if so you have an air leak causing it to idle funny and run very lean. Mine popped after about ten rides with a bad air leak so find it fast. good luck
 
probably an airleak, the 260 is fine if your bike has no exhaust, the pod filter does give you more airflow over the stock airbox. i dont care for yamalube id run a better oil.
 
Air Leak.. Buy some YamaBond. Seal all your top end gaskets with it except for the head gasket. put the stuff on the reed gasket. if that doesn't work, see if you have the cap on the carb on straight and tight. Unless you dont have the TORS on top of the carb. that cap has to be straight and tight, otherwise it will leak.
 
I left the bigger jets in. Put the regular Ngk plug in and rode it for prob 4 hours now it runs a lil rich but I think it's just about rite... Plugs basically black but not wet with oil (dry)... Is that about good??
