I have a pro circuit header I ordered off ebay and I put it on the blaster and took the air box lid off and changed the main jet.. I put a 290 main jet and Iim pretty sure that's way to big cause it ran like it was cold the whole time I rode it , and it didn't even want to pull hard.. Do I need to downsize a few sizes in the main jet??

Also its leaking a lot of oil where the header bolts, I baught s vitos gasket for it and it sets the flange off the cylinder about 1/4 inch. not sure what the problem is , and im guessing its the gasket but don't know..

Thanks!

what is the airscrew set at?
i cant remember 100 percent at the moment, but i think you need the flange for the specific pipe?did it come with a flange as well?

I run Pro Circuit on two of mine. They both are premixed 32:1, no airbox lid and foam filters. I have a 270 in them and they run great.

Not sure about your flange problem, mine seal up well with a little cooper RTV. Pictures might help.

OK thanks ill put a smaller jet and try it.. also what Is your elevation?

fiddle with it to see if you can fit it better:)
clean the carb, set the float level, you may have disturbed it when fitting the main jet?
check float needle to see if it is sticking, flooding the mix:)

see if it fits better, with the upper pipe mount not attached,if it does adjust the upper bolt,i think it a 10mm bolt.
also make sure you put the washer that goes on the main jet.

That chrome piece between the flange is a vitos exhaust gasket , is the flange suppose to be that far off the head?

does the vitos gasket go inside the pipe/and not to the cylinder then flange?
i never bought one of those.it might even be fore there vitos fat bastard pipe.
i would think just the flange/then gasket/then pipe:)
anyone can correct if wrong lol

Okay I figured It out and got it together and now when i start it its not leaking oil but can see smoke coming from this area

the donut washer/gasket goes between the head and the flange. It actually should fit inside the jug and sit flat against the flange. None of it should protrude. The flange should sit flat against the head. You may have carbon buildup that is keeping it from setting inside the exhaust port.

I figured that part out and I have the gasket in the right spot and it fits how it should now, but when its running smoke is coming from the exhaust where it connect to the head still.. how can I stop that?
