Jet kit??

I'm in the middle of my complete engine rebuild. I have the fmf fatty exhaust pipe, pro circuit 304 silencer, k & n filter, and bored .5 over. I think I have a 270 main jet in now. I am at 3000 ft. When I get it running I want to make sure and have everything jetted right. However the nearest yamaha dealer is a long ways away. Should I buy a jet kit? Or is there certain jet sizes I should just buy and have somewhat a selection? and if so what sizes? up or down? Getting ready to order some parts from rockymountain atv and didn't know which I should get. Looks like it would be cheaper to order a few different sizes.

Jet kits are a rip off. I run my stock carb at 3000' w/ the mods listed in my signature below.....and I use 300 main jet.

If I were you, I'd do what I did....which was go to Jets R Us and order a range of jets from 280 to 320. Probably cost you $20-$30.

I like jet kits because the stock needles suck for good trail riding on a modified engine.

but that said 90% of the blaster I have build I used the stock carb and OM jets
