I have a 2006 Yamaha Blaster. It's bored .080. I have 3 different jets that I have put in carburetor don't know which one I have in as of right now. It will start right up with 2-3 kicks. Sometimes when I'm neutral I can rev it all the way up but once when I put it into gear and press the gas it's starts bogging out and then it will cut off. Sometimes I can't rev it all the way without it bogging out. We have clean the carburetor out a couple of times, changed the jets out and played around with the air/fuel screw thing on the carburetor. I'm not that mechanical but I figure I could fix this if this is a little problem. Please help. I'd figure id ask on here before I take it to my local cycle shop.

First thing, what did you expect to gain by changing jets ??? Unless changes are made to exhaust, intake, porting, major elevation or Temperature, leave jets alone.

Mor info on setup and did this suddenly start running bad, or slowly get worse???

Well I just bought this atv not long ago from a guy that I know. He didn't have time to work on it. It's been bored .080, has stage 3 Injectors in carb. He told me to put either stage 1 or 2 jet in just to see what happens. I'm not real familier with jet but has some people help. One time we did got it running good but then it stopped again. It has high performance air intake and DG brand exhaust. We thought maybe the exhaust was clogged so we put the stock one back in but didn't help. The piston and compression been checked and has 150psi.

Jet kits are not a good thing to use, they seldom contain any jet of the correct size that you can use.

List all your mods, your elevation and average air temperature, and the size of your jets and the needle setting and someone will chime In with a recommended genuine jet size.

I don't really know all that info. All I know is it's bored .080 with high compression numura piston. Has Winderosa gaskets. Bigger front sprocket for higher top end. Has high performance air intake. Has stage 3 injectors.

The time that you got it running, what did you do to it?

I presume that by saying stage 3 injectors you refer to the jets.

The guy that told you to put in stage 1 or 2 jets knows very little about things, jets come in individual sizes.

Boring 80 over will not make any difference to the jetting.

I am not aware that Namura makes a high compression piston.

Is the DG exhaust the full system or just the silencer? If it is the full system it will call for a genuine #260 main jet, not from a kit, larger if you have any other mods to the inlet tract.

Please describe the high performance air intake, it could be giving you problems.

You say you have a manual, if so read up on how to adjust the idle speed rather than just fiddle with the air screw.

The choice of main jets will have no relation to your problem, the main jet does not come into play until 3/4 throttle.

You require a 32.5 pilot jet, which must be clean, the jet needle in the middle slot.

Okay thanks. Right now the jet that I have in says 290rb. So I probably should just put back the stock one? This info that I'm giving is what the guy told me. I don't know all of the mods. Just the stuff I told yall about.

i saw that pic before lol
all i can see is that it has a stock header exhaust soooooo
not sure your stage kit is necassary/if airbox is a stock setup/reeds stock setup
your probably throwing too much fuel at it but???
you can see it,i cant lol:)
and it should still idle, unless your jet kit has a huge/small ect pilot jet which sounds like it does.

click on it
carb plus idle 1 1 2 big 1 1 1.jpg

it looks stock
i see oil injection line
parking break cable
the tors is probably still on it,make sure the parking break is not engaged or it will not rev
other than that, thats all i can see from those pics:)
