A 15 hour yfz450 for $2900 is a steal. One bit of advice though, look it over with a very critical eye as if it's got 200 hard hours and just got cleaned up for the sell.
I don't trust any seller's hour meter claims unless it is hardwired into a vehicles original gauge cluster. Even if it's an honest estimate off the top of their head, it's probably waaay off.
Look closely into the areas that someone wouldn't be able to clean easily. Also tell them not to run it before you come see it. You want to start it cold. All in all it seems like a killer deal, but you've still gotta be careful.

I know what you meen... I know that it really more than likly has more then 15 hrs on it. But like someone else made the coment, it still has the red ring around the tires from the factory that hasn't wore off yet so it can't be rode that much.
Just got off the phone with the guy and I'm picking it up Saturday morning.... I got to drive about an hour and a half to get it but I think its going to be well worth it. Before I ride it I think I'm going to go ahead and have the oil problem fixed that these years had just to be on the safe side.
Got half way to pick this up and the guy sent me a voise message telling me he just couldn't sell it anymore then wouldn't even answer his phone. What a sh*t head.

Hell i was going to offer him $500 more if he would have just answered the the phone. He only wanted 3100 to start off and i talked him down to 2900. I even talked to him right before I left to make a meeting place and everything was fine then. Some ppl are just assholes like that I guess. He should have at least had enough balls to tell me and not just send a message. That's ok though... I've found a sweet at 88 250R that's built really good I'm going to look at Monday. It will smoke that 450 anyways.
