This is what I would tell you ....lol.....it could be...but he is talking about the carb ...lol I would put money there is something wrong with that bike and it probally isnt the carb, they all say it needs carb work....look around youll see what I mean. You would have to go look at it and start it if it even will and see what he means...it could have air leaks, running lean, see what he means about high idle....I would be all over it, im a cheap person though, so i try to find somthing to keep me from buying it....lol I:I
you never know tho, he could just be a tool and not have the idle screw set correctly. but $1500 for a mostly stock 1989, i wouldnt do it i like my blasty.
Be patient , we all get the idea that you want a quad REAL BAD. I posted on your thread on trading for one. Unless you are good at fixing things (not boogering) keep looking for something that runs right. Plus that 250 was only made a few yrs and parts may be harder to come by. Stick with a blaster, been made for 20+ yrs. Get one that might not be perfect looks wise, or need simple work like brakes. BTW, did I mention be patient and keep looking.
You shoudn't buy it some guy told me the same thing about an 04 kx and turns out it needs a new top end.
