I have a 2000 yamaha blaster and the chain has 3in. of play in it thats from pushing it all the way down to all the way up so pushing it has far down as it will go, to pulling it up as far up as it will go.

They are on the back of the carrier that holds the axle. adjust them evenly so your quad drives nice and straight.
what you mean by adjusting them evenly and could you take a picture of what the tensioner looks like
You can see in the one picture the notches on the top of the adjusters (silver adjusters)
Loosen the lock nut, and then tighten the bolt to tighten the chain, then retighten the locknuts.
You can use the notches, and the bolt lengths as a reference to make sure you are getting them evenly.
