I see some with and some without the bottom chain roller on chassis. Nearly all have the upper roller on chassis and rear guide on swinger. I'm missing my bottom roller and was wondering if it's necessary before I buy one.

They maintain chain tension. The upper really doesnt do much, the lower I have to move down on long travel bikes. On a stock bike I'm not sure if they even have the travel to need them, but they dont hurt anything so I would leave them.

Ya, thinking twice I think I'll just buy one, their not the expensive. I always say if the company spent money to put it there, whatever it is, it mus be important.

hey im kinda curious about this bottom roller , i have the mounting bolt attached but its not held on to well and i dont have acces to a welder, could it be taken off without too many repricussions?

Never had one and haven't had a problem (knock on wood) My son races mx and does all the jumps, even the biggins'
