Who's got one? We have iPhones in the house and Carolyn just surprised me with a late Christmas gift. She scored a 16 gig 3G open box from best buy for $400.00!!!!!!! That's a $100 less than a 16 wifi only!!!!

Very stoked and it is way cool. It's just a natural transgression from the iPhone
I have an unlimited 3G for my iPhone, but I think the sim cards are different and I don't thing I'll be paying for another data plane ESP since AT&T doesn't have the unlimited plans anymore. I know they take a hit each month on our 3 unlimited data plans. Lol

Ok. Was just wondering who has one

Later

just another way to make apple more money and not really have anything useful, lol. Most of the people that I have heard that have been getting them are the apple fan boys, and a few people for a alternative to a amazon kindle for reading.

wow, haters. lol

ok, i been a windowfanboy? forever, but im just tired of microcrap.
im not an applefanboy by anymeans, the iphone is a no brainer, im using the same one
for 3 years without a hiccup, show me a windows based product doing that.
just got a new dell for my son, yea, week old and its broken!!! 800$ computer and the wireless is broken in a week?
ford edge with microsoft sync, yea, its crap too, pain in the ass to use.

yea, im heading towards mac, i use a computer too much to keep dealing with viruses
from zit faced pocket protecting tards who are bored. yea, ok, your smarter then me, KNOCK IT OFF!

oversized i pad touch? i guess, i thought it as an oversized iphone that i cant make calls from,
but, in the house, i drag a laptop around alot, as i work at my desk, in the garage, and in the back barn, it just works for me.

not sure why im trying to justify having one to a bunch of haters. carry on. now i am really LMAO

they're cool, but i couldn't justify one for me wouldn't use it much unless i start teaching guitar lessons again lol

you can forget the 3g and the extra data plan... look into jailbreak apps for iphone that make your iphone into a wireless router... then connect the ipad to the wireless network the iphone made and it should be online no problems... ipad is a bit of a niche thing its true... the only thing i could see myself using it for was movies etc on a plane... so i just picked up a aluratek cinepal 8" hd media player for that purpose..and ill stick to my netbook for my mobile computing.... maybe when ipad is $200.. id consider one as a gadget just to have...

I'm not hating on you, I just don't see the point in them.
And I'm sure as hell not a windows/microsoft fan boy. I hate them. Hence why I would recommend Linux to anyone. I am currently on Windows 7, but that is only because of compatibility problems. I dualboot with OpenSuse Linux 11.3.
If you want an iPad, by all means, get one. Sorry if it came off as me hating against you or whatever, not what I meant.
I agree with Lienes on this, they're cool but IF I do get one, it will be when they're half the cost of right now...

Now these would be interesting for now, Lienes. They are about half the cost of an iPad and run android.

The thing that i bought is 8" 720p LCD... It outputs up to 1080p to regular tvs... it plays just about every video format you can throw at it... mkv and all the good ones... it uses usb external harddrive or SDHC memory cards.... plays music..and ebooks...only thing it doesnt so is wifi with a web browser.. but im not interested in mobile computing on a tablet... i just want media.... this cinepal was $100 on sale.... seems like i couldnt go wrong for a device that can connect to my tv to play internet formats.. but also has a 6hr battery life for my airplane travel...
