intake gasket

hi im new i was wondering if there is supose to be a gasket between the intake and reeds and the reeds and cylinder. thanks

yes for sure if not there will be an air leak and that will cause death to your cylinder

im pretty sure you dont need one in between the reeds and the carb manifold. but the gasket is used between the reeds and cylinder.
the intake manifold has a rubber gasket built into it

this is why i asked because there wasn't one between the intake and reeds

it does not take a gasket there BUT many people find leaks at this spot and use high temp silicone there. i didnt have any leaks in mine so its just rubber to metal
