I just bought a blaster off my buddy and its been sitting for a long time and I am trying to get it running.... So when I kick it I get no spark what so ever at the plug wire so if anyone can give me some advice on what to do or check I would greatly appriciate it. thanks

check and make sure that the stator is making power. just test the lines coming off of that. if they are then check and see if power is coming off the CDI if it does then those arnt your problems. If there is no power off the stator repace that. if there is no power off the CDI then replace that.
also are you grounding the plug whe you check for spark?

^^^ and if there is power of the CDI replace your coil. make sure all your wires are correct, and none are pinched.
Thanks guys it ended up being the coil... But now that I have it running I have a loud knocking noise so I'm getting ready to pull the top end and just hopen that it is just something in the top end....
yea well me and my brother pulled the top end off today and found that there is a big peice of the side of the piston missing. So im gonna call tomorrow to the local shop and see how much it will cost to have it bored and then hope that will be the end of my problems.. anyone have any suggestions on what i should bore it out to???
yea the wiesco high compression piston, but i beleive u have to run very high octane or predetonation will pop it. make sure u get all the peices outta the bottom end. i always split the case and replace the bearings when i bust a piston. whatever u do dont get a cast piston, i have been through 3 of them!!! last rebuild was about 9 months ago running wiesco forged and it rips!!
from looking down into the bottom end everything looks good but dont know where the pieces of the piston went... Whats the best way to get the fly wheel off. and how much does a total rebuild cost?
