Yesterday I was riding my Blaster and all of a sudden it just quit. After some trouble shooting today I figured out it wasn't getting a spark. I tried a different plug and still no spark. So... where do I start and what do I need to start checking.

I would check that the plug caps are tight on the plug wire and that the plug wire is tight in the coil first. Then check all of your grounds and electrical connections for cleanliness and that they are tight. Those are the simple things to check. The only good way to test the CDI is to swap it out for a known good one. The stator will need to be checked for resistance, you can do this if you have an ohm meter. I recommend you get yourself a clymers manual, you will find it very valuable working on your own bike.

i wound up spending 100 on a new ignition coil, spark plug boot, and a stator, i prayed it wasnt my CDI lol and it wasnt

What should the OHM's reed if it is good and also which wires do I check comming out of the stator.

459-561 ohms at 68*F Red-white wires
I believe maybe wrong on colors thou, that's for the pickup off the stator. have similar prob with a warrior. hope this helps. still need to cheak that on the warrior, just don't like working on anthing out side with out a garage.

i had the same problem with mine when i got it and it turned out to be the stator...hopefully youll get away with just a wire or something
