after looking at some pictures on here, i still cant figure out how to adjust the idleing. Runs great when i keep it running, but i wont just sit and idle. any suggestions?

Idle adjusting.

Start with air screw 1.5 turns out.

Set idle screw so that it has some sort of idle.

Warm up motor and then set idle screw for a fast idle.

Adjust air screw either way to get the fastest idle.

Adjust air screw a little at a time leaving 10 secs to allow the motor to respond.

Re adjust idle screw for desired idle .

A dirty carb, incorrect float level and an air leak can also upset idle setting.

When was the last leak down test done?

Let me ask a few questions.

1, are you running the stock oil injection or have you done the tors delete ?

Why, I ask. the stock tors, has the idle screw on it. to get to it, its under the seat. look for the big flat head screw.

If you have a after market or different carb top, No tors. then to have it idle right, a idle screw would have been or needs to be installed into the left side of the car. they sell this part / kit.
on stock carb, on the left side, there, the only screw is the air screw adjustment. this usually is set from 1 1/2 to a range of 1. sometimes 1 3/4 on a stock blaster.

but this is not your idle screw.
