Idle Problem - it's not happening

After cleaning the carb, the air filter, changing the oil, and replacing the spark plug my 00' blaster will finally start but now it won't idle. I have to keep revving it to prevent it from dying and it sputters out. Maybe I over oiled and it's not getting enough air? Also the gas it's getting is from the reserve.

Definetly sounds like the idle screw need adjusted. Why reserve? low feul? It's located on top of the big silver box about size of a dime. Put the air screw 1.5 turns out and see if that helps. More info on your machine will help us.

Did you set the float level?

Float level should 20 to 21.5mm on a stock carby.

Idle adjusting.

Start with air screw 1.5 turns out.

Set idle screw so that it has some sort of idle. With TORS big screw under seat on top of unit. No TORS brass screw midway down carb body.

Warm up motor and then set idle screw for a fast idle.

Adjust air screw either way to get the fastest idle.

Adjust air screw a little at a time leaving 10 secs to allow the motor to respond.

Re adjust idle screw for desired idle .
