i just bought a 1988 yamaha blaster and it seems like it idles higher then it should. what can i do to fix this. also the guy i bought it from said it was a 1986 but i cant seem to find anything about an 86. also where are good places to get parts for it i need full rear brake pads caliper cable and brake lever.

You can probably find most of the parts you need at your local Yamaha dealer. There are also some great places on here that sell parts, and if all else fails good ole Ebay has parts as well. One thing I would highly recomend though is getting rid of the stock cable to the rear brakes, and changing over to a shorty cable. It costs like $25, and it makes a world of difference ! The rear brakes on these generally are lousy, but that cable makes them quite a bit better.
