Hey guys, I finished building the blaster Motor and a ran in to a few problems. ( With all the idle adjustants screwed all the way in ) I crank the bike and she tends to idle a little high then comes down a perfect idle. Note: The bike is doing this all by itself! Revs Dont hang and i already checked for an airleak. She also spudders at a 1/4 throttle but after that she opens up nice and runs very hard.

it's about 89.36789 % the wrong needle in that carb, you need a "cel" or "dgh" needle

here's my perfect jetting for my mods, similar to yours, minus the +3 stroker.........

45 pilot, airscrew under 2 turns out, "dgh" needle, 155 main, 162 in cooler months

Awk im running a stock carb now because i need to buy the throttle cable for my 34mm. Im running 32.5 pilot and 310 main. Im out of gas . So tomorrow will be tuning day. Im going leaner on the pilot 25. And im staying at 310 main because i would hear pinging at 300.

Ohh yea im not running the stroker . Saving money to port a topend for it.

we can't give you accurate advice if your listed mods in your sig are full of sh*t ! :D

do not go lower on that pilot jet, you will fry that sh*t quicker than
micky-d's does french fries

32.5 pilot in all but the wildest ported bbk's. period

After you chase your tail a while, let us know when you're done. One size up from pinging isn't enough in my mind, but it's not my piston. Idle to 1/4 throttle is controlled by pilot and air screw. What do you have screw set at? What is needle set at? Is carb clean and float set? When you clean it pull the pilot and make sure little holes on side of pilot are open too.
