Ice race and flat track setup

yup, have to jet for winter/cold like you normally would. then if you're doing a lot of ice riding, get some tires and stud them up

if your plannijng on ice racing.. you want wide and low... lowered and widened up will help you keep more speed threw the corners.. and you want traction... 18" chin ching ice tires with kold kutter ice screws.. one per lug.. which is just shi of 300 studs per tire, upped main jet and nerf bars to put your foot on to help get lower off the side of the machine to carry more speed threw corners....

good rear brakes and a good clutch so you can tap rear brae and snap clutch to pitch it sideways and keep it sideways

4cfed do you use a sway bar I have 3+1 a-arms and i plan on usin my stock shocks up front and a banshee for the rear wat up ur sporcket setup wat do u use i was planin on leave it stock

get a lowering kit for the front if you're doing the shee rear shock for sure.

do you have an extended axle?

TRACTION is most important, you want enough so your not spinning the whole time but not too much that u cant spin 'em when you need to. you need the fronts studded too to be able to turn fast. also make sure your air filter is clean and DRY so it wont freeze up....it happens lol

Yeah I'll be runnin an airbox that hapend to my budy runin pods durin the race and he fried the motor

Yeah Rob, so what if I blew it up. Technically not even my motor though. Thanks Lakes Motorsports! Man that ice water turned my crank into a nice Z shape didn't it. But blowing it up is why I wound up with a new 4 mill. Same with your new motor, Stroker and a port job.

I haven't seen it done on quads, but just a thought, say its a left handed oval, you only turning one way, maybe an adjustable axle adjusting in on the inside and out on the outside with stock a-arms in and +3 out. Also I do believe you can go too low and not have the weight transfer to turn properly. If you really want to get creative you can play with the ackerman and caster too. you also want to measure the circumfrance of the tires, bigger rear on the outside. Nitrogen my give better inflation in the tires.
