Ok so this is my first post and I need major help. I was trying to take my wheels off of my 2000 blaster and the cheap bolt on it stripped. I dont know if it was because of my socket or the bolt. I hope that I had the right size. Does anyone know what size the lug nut bolt is on the 2000? Also what should I do, I know have three lug nuts off and one that is rounded out. Any ideas would be helpful. Also is this common among these things? Should I invest in a higher quality lug nut? Also, What are the torque specs when I got to put the lug nuts back on? I apologize for so many questions but im really freaking right now and hoping that I didnt really mess up my blaster.

the lugs nuts should be a m10 x 125 if i remember rigth, and as far as gettin the rounded nut off.. spray the threads with pb blaster and let it sit for abit, than take a socked slightly smaller than the nut and pound it on with a hammer, and it should come off... if not pull the hub off the axle, and take agrinder and grind the back of the studd off the hub. go to the hardware store and get some grad 8 10x125 bolts and matching nuts

Ok great. I will try to do that tomorrow and see if it works out for me. I like the way you painted your plastics. How is it holding up? I am thinking about repainting mine.

thanks!! it held up pretty good before.. there painted with krylon fusion.. 4 coats i think i did, than 3 coats of the duplicolor clear effects top coat, than 3 or 4 coats of duplicolor engine enamal clear.. i chose that clear cuz its gas and oil resistant, so should hold up better

i had simmaler problem on one of my rear wheels and i had to pound smaller socket on to get the nut off

I just wanted to thank you guys for your input and help. I was able to get those bolts off. I broke a few of my das sockets but oh well. Here is the thing that is bugging me though. The bolts seem to still be stripping...... Am i using the wrong socket or do I just have a bad socket. Im using a 14mm and a breaker bar and it seems like it isnt the right socket but it fits snug and nothing else fits. I know I probably sound stupid now but I cant keep stripping these bolts they cant be made that cheaply can they?

not sure.. all my lugs are 9/16th and definatly use a 6 pnt or you wil round them off.... go to your local hardware store with one of your old nuts, to compair size and get some grade 8 nuts.. they will hold up better against rounding off..... and you dont need to man handle them tight... mine are snugged good and tight but not over tight, i just check them before every ride
