um i am sad to say this but i just got a yamaha blaster 200 and its a 2004 but i was riding it and the enging locked up do i need to get the top end or bottom end rebuilt

get the topend off and lets see carnage pics, if the piston just seized and not shattered, you should be good with just a bore/hone/piston
but we need to figure out what caused this, is the oil injection on and working, is there good oil in the tank, made for injection???
if injection is deleted, you do know the oil needs mixed with the fuel 32:1 ratio

yeah like awk said get the top apart and see what happened and yes pics will show us so we can help with what happened most of us have seen this so we know how it feels good luck and we are here to help
um i was just riding it and it died on me and i tried to kick it and it kicked but the next day i tried it sh was locked up. ill add pictures tonigght when i get home from school
if the oil injection quit your crank is proly toast along with the piston! tear the topend off and give some pics so people can help you decide what happened
