any engine swap is a lot of work. bansheedave has done 2

It can be, and has been done. Just building a regular Blaster motor with some tasteful mods would be a great experience with your son. Anyway you slice it, it's going to be something you can do together, and will always remember.

How old is your son? if hes young he may get very impatient during the surgery (swapping engines, hearts in quad. haha...)
