well i got my vf3's in and i dont know how to install them.. i took the carb off then the bolts and that little rubber thing. but the reeds wont fit in that metal thing. am i supposed to take that off? How? Thanks

yea you need to pop the stock reed cage out.

they will pop out, its only the gasket holding it in there.

Put a bunch on it and tap it with a hammer. Hopefully you have a new seal.

prably just stuck, use a small screwdriver if you have to just be carefull not to damage the intake

use a flat head screwdriver and just pull up a corner and your set

i got the stock cage off. are you supposed to put the air guide into the reed valve?

because if i do, then the thing that connects to the carb doesnt fit on the new vf3 reed cage.

you just pop on a gasket put the reed cage in and throw the intake boot on, hmm it should bolt all up.

thats how they should look befor you pop them into your motor.

im pretty sure you have to cut off a little lip on the boot that goes to the reeds, i had to anyway

there is a lip ^ like said above that you need to cut off. they supply these bolts and whatever to give u the correct spacing to take a hacksaw in there and cut it off easily. i myself just used a knife.
