Hey everyone, just bought my first blaster. Its a 2002. Its pretty nice, white and black plastic. Rode it the other day and love it. Although i do wish it had more power. It is all stock, motor is stock. What can i do relatively cheap to boost it up a bit. I know about the 240 big bore kit, maybe some reeds, anyone have any suggestions. Thanks

*It does have a full FMF pipe on it*

biggest bang for the buck is gonna be a pipe. i have an FMF and i like it, and you can pick them up CHEAP. otherwise you can look around and decide for yourself on the pipe. V-force reeds are another really popular upgrade

see if the airbox lid is still on. if it is take it off and up the jet 1 size. i ride in sand and dust and have never had a problem with it. just be sure to wash the filter regularly. it also make it sound a bit nicer too i found. this will at most cost u $3.00 for a jet.I:I

hey thanks alot man. Yeah i never owned a 2stroke quad before but ive owned many 2 stroke dirtbikes. And just looking to make the quad a little faster. Thanks for all the input everyone

Hell yeah reeds make a difference!! On my relatively stock blaster that just had an FMF pipe on it and some nice mud tires I almost rolled the thing in a corner after swapping some new boyesen dual stage reeds into it!! The same power was there it just came on much earlier than it did with the stock reeds. I don't think that reeds technically increase HP or anything, but they definitely have an effect on throttle response.
