When I was trying to get my blaster started before I realized I needed to rebuild the engine, I turned the Idle screw, thats on top of the carb all the way to the right. Basically I screwed it up. :">

1. I need to know how many turns to set it back to factory, the manual doesn't say. I do know that the idle air screw is supposed to start at 1.5 turns out.

2. I do not have an inductive tachometer to set the idle. Am I going to need one or can I do it another way? If I need one where can I get one cheap?

3. I will be using mixed gas 32:1, and I believe it has a .50 over piston in it. ( the piston has a 50 on the top) So will I have to change my jets?

What you need to do is set your pilot jet back to the factory setting then start the engine and set adjust to were you like it. If the engine wont start because the idle is all the way down turn the screw back one turn then start if it is still to low turn it again once and repeat till you get the setting you want.

by pilot jet are you talking about the idle/air screw? And when setting the idle on top of the carb, which is closed, all the way to the left or right.

i think 240 means the air screw which is on the side of the carb, its a little flat head screw, turn it all the way to the right, so it bottoms out, but not to hard!!!!! , then unscrew it 1 1/2 turns out, as far as ur idle on top of the carb, i would just keep trying to adjust it a little at a time, let us know!
