Can anyone please give me the cc that you can shave the head to or how much should i cut it...I'm planning on running 93octane only
That's what i wanted to do but i also wanted to know specs after cut and 85 bucks sounds reasonable.....how much hp would it pick up?if you are just shaving the gasket surface it is ten thousands to 20 thousands of an inch.
vitos sells the high compression gasket that is supposed to increase compression by 10psi. 14 thousands of a inch. smaller
the real thing to do is send the head to kor and have it rechambered/which you need a lathe to do
it will add around 25-30 psi to the compression with a better squish band ect.
probabaly 85 bucks total for shipping and service...well worth it
i do have a lathe at work but i would need a jig and even than i don't think i could but id's that what it cost?85?just wanting to be sure
Sound like that's the way im going ....is it better to call kor or just through here? The 2 heads I had just "shaved" I took off up until the lip. The little step from where the head starts its angle. It took some time with a file and then lapping it and all but I set my squish and I was all good. You will need to check your own squish as it will change from motor to motor. Even change when you change pistons, cranks, even gaskets at times. so it is hard to say a specific amount to shave off as each motor is different.
Send it out and be happy. Your price sounds about right ,, give or take.. for under a Hondo you cant go wrong with this mod..
Even if it was cheaper from what i seen from him it worth it and i know he can do it righthttp://www.kenoconnorracing.com/prices.html
it is 60 bucks plus shipping....try and find it cheaper anywheres else if they could even accomplish it![]()
Yeah i have a head that I'm playing with just to try and see how it does the other engine that i have i plan o send it to him and it well need to be bore so I'm going to do it all at once i might just send everything at once and use the head on the one I'm playing with just to see how it does and if it fails ill have the good one to swap out withImo,, < and that's just me.. If you have the xtra cash you might as well send the whole top end and get it ported along with the head and be done with it. What will happen is you will do the head and then while you lay down to sleep at night you will say " dang! ,, I should have sent the cyl out to get ported also". "they work hand and hand together and I could have shipped everything at once and saved a set of gaskets and the time doing it all at once." If you decide on just the head than you will be happy, but why not be real happy ?

I'm hoping to hurt his feelings lol^^ With a properly set up Blaster you will eat a stock 400. Even slightly modded 400's in the trails.. That's one of the reasons I like the lil blaster. Eat's un suspecting 400's and leaves the rider with a.. It is fun to beat on someone with a motor twice the size..
