Every year for the last 8 we have gotten together with my wifes sister and her husband (the one who lent me his truck for AWKS ride), and go find a tree the saturday after thanksgiving, eat joke around, and have fun.

This year the regular tree farm we go to was closed due to a beetle infestation. :o So we went to another place and walked and walked and walked, got the sh*t scared out of us by what I believe is an ELK, but not a hundred percent sure, sure would like to see him come Monday Rifle season!
A few pics of some of us-

The crazy elk or reindeer or whatever but it was huge and was behind a 15 foot fence someone's pet! This pic is for AWK!

Ya bro must be a pet, but we were down by the fence it came over and let out a huge snort, I almost sh*t my pants as my back was turned! But you were the first person i thought of , If Joe was here....

Nice tree slick! We used to get a real tree every year for christmas, but we would get it like the week after thanksgiving and when christmas came around, they would sag to the floor and the little needles would fall off.

Nice looking elk too...

Last 7yrs we've taken a tree from our property but this year we're gettin a USFS permit so we can take the granddaughter on a tree hunting adventure. We got some of them big furry critters hanging around too, but they don't pay much attention to fences :) After his 7 day hunt ended unsuccessfully our tired son came by to spend the night. The next morning he watched one of our security cameras with a look of disgust. Oh, the irony!

If ya get a frazier fur they will last until March! As long as ya keep it watered. Contrary to popular belief DO NOT add asprin! Big sign at the tree farm!

Mean as hell, im tellin ya dont mess with a big red buck, they will rip your guts out!

Point of interest, supermarkets sell roo meat here cheaper than beef steak, and as a bonus its fat free.
